Like Julie Behling, I have spent the last decade studying and reporting about the trend of Woke Marxism within public schools and within churches and seminaries. I fully agree with the film’s assessments and information. Behling and the other speakers portray the issues with objectivity and clarity. Indeed, this film offers the most effective presentation I have yet seen on the topic of Woke Marxist infiltration into American society.
Beneath Sheep’s Clothing pulls together the story of how Communist ideology has been adapted for the purpose of corrupting and destroying our society in five key institutions, as originally mapped out by the Marxist Antonio Gramsci: Religion, Family, Education, Media, and Law. As James Lindsay notes in the film, when Marxists take over these institutions, they can transform the culture from within.
I appreciate the film’s demonstration that Communism is a religion that advances a false view of reality and of human reality in particular. It is a parasitic totalitarian religion, and it has led to catastrophes everywhere it has been implemented.
The film especially focuses on the importance of the public schools and churches in implementing this Marxist infiltration. The infiltration of schools and churches must be treated as the grave emergency that it is. Those who have enabled or taught Woke Marxist ideology can never be trusted to lead any educational institution, ever again. That is how urgent this battle is.
I appreciated the interview sections with James Lindsay, Michael O’Fallon, and Trevor Loudon pointing to the geo-political implications of the United States falling into Woke Marxism. This will commit our country to a policy of de-growth, which means severely damaging our economy and our military and allowing China to ascend as the leading global power.
At that point, there will be no power in the world capable of resisting China’s trend of technocratic, autocratic tyranny. If we lose America and her traditional understanding of individual rights as coming from our created nature, not the opinions of government officials or the wishes of the masses, there is no way to predict the terror and death that will soon result.
Another highlight from the film is its accurate portrayal of the Democrat–Media Complex as highly culpable in advancing these very evils. The film ends with a reminder that the 2024 presidential election is a choice between Donald Trump vs. the openly Woke Marxist candidate Kamala Harris.
If America loses this election, the world will soon lose America’s unique blessings. To the extent that American values are undermined here, liberty eventually dies everywhere. That is what is at stake.
For that reason, I encourage you to purchase this film and share it with others. Consider arranging a group screening. Encourage pastors and school teachers to view Beneath Sheep’s Clothing so that they can begin to understand what is happening (many of them are clueless, if not somewhat complicit).
The film offers hope for turning around this disastrous trend, and I agree with its suggestions for action:
- Remove your children from public schools. Keep them safe from these evils.
- Join local battles against Woke Marxism in the schools.
- Support litigation efforts and education efforts of others.
- By all available means, educate people about the dangers we face (Use this film to do that.)
- Take a public stand now. Refuse to compromise, even if it costs you friendships, social acceptance, or your job. You owe it to your children and grandchildren to expose this wicked ideology that is destroying our society.
